SENIOR Voice and Performance
Intensive Program

Immersive Musical Theatre Training for Serious Young Performers

The Singer’s Theatre Senior Intensive is a focused musical theatre training and performance program for serious singer/actors ages 14–24.

Designed for emerging performers who are ready to work at a higher level, this program combines vocal training, acting, movement, rehearsal discipline, ensemble work, and full production experience in a supportive but challenging environment.

Participants work with experienced theatre professionals while developing the skills, confidence, and artistic maturity needed to grow as music theatre performers.

Who This Program Is For

The Senior Intensive is best suited for performers with previous experience in singing, acting, dance, or musical theatre.

Participants should be comfortable learning music, taking direction, working collaboratively, and performing in front of an audience. This program is ideal for young artists who are ready to be challenged and who want to deepen their understanding of the rehearsal and performance process.

Age range: 14–24
Experience level: Previous performance experience is recommended
Program focus: Singing, acting, movement, ensemble work, rehearsal discipline, and production

What Participants Can Expect

The Senior Intensive gives participants the opportunity to experience the full journey of bringing a musical theatre production to life.

Throughout the 2 week program, participants will build their skills in vocal performance, character development, acting through song, movement, stage presence, and ensemble storytelling. The process is designed to encourage artistic growth while also introducing the pace, focus, and expectations of a professional rehearsal room.

This is a demanding program, but it is also a place for mentorship, discovery, confidence-building, and meaningful creative work.

Performance Opportunity

The Senior Intensive culminates in a fully staged musical theatre production presented for an audience in a real theatre under professional performance conditions.

Participants gain valuable experience not only as performers, but as part of a larger ensemble working together toward a shared artistic goal.

Program Expectations

Participants are expected to arrive prepared, focused, and ready to commit fully to the rehearsal and performance process.

This includes learning material, attending rehearsals, taking direction, supporting fellow cast members, respecting the rehearsal space, and approaching the work with professionalism and curiosity.

Why The Singer’s Theatre

The Singer’s Theatre is an inclusive training ground for emerging artists, rooted in vocal excellence, strong storytelling, mentorship, and safe, creative process.

For 25 years, The Singer’s Theatre has provided young performers with opportunities to grow, perform, and develop within a high-quality musical theatre environment. The Senior Intensive continues that tradition by offering serious young artists a meaningful opportunity to train, collaborate, and perform with purpose.

A life-changing experience for our son and our family. He was inspired by the professionalism, the talent around him, and discovered a new and better version of himself.

PAST SENIOR INTENSIVES

This program helped our child understand what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves. They grew not only as a performer, but as a collaborator, listener, and storyteller. The level of care and artistic expectation was extraordinary.
