Junior performance Intensive Program

Musical Theatre Training for Young Performers

The Singer’s Theatre Junior Intensive is a creative and confidence-building musical theatre program for young performers ages 7–13.

Designed for children who love to sing, act, move, create, or perform, this program introduces participants to the joy of musical theatre in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Through singing, acting, movement, dance, creativity, and rehearsal, participants begin to build stage confidence, performance skills, teamwork, and a stronger understanding of how theatre comes together.

Who This Program Is For

The Junior Intensive is open to young performers of all experience levels. No audition is required.

This program is ideal for children who are new to theatre, as well as those who already have experience in singing, dance, acting, or performance.

Age range: 7–13
Experience level: All levels welcome
Admission: No audition required
Program focus: Singing, acting, movement, creativity, confidence, and ensemble work

What Participants Can Expect

Participants can expect a positive, structured, and creative environment where they are encouraged to try new things, use their imagination, and grow as performers.

The program helps young artists develop confidence, stage presence, listening skills, collaboration, vocal expression, and the ability to work as part of an ensemble.

While the focus is supportive and age-appropriate, participants are also introduced to the discipline, respect, and focus that are part of the rehearsal process.

Performance Opportunity

The Junior Intensive culminates in a final musical theatre performance for an audience.

This gives participants the opportunity to share what they have learned, experience the excitement of performing, and feel the pride of bringing a show to life with their castmates.

Program Expectations

Participants are expected to arrive ready to learn, participate, listen, collaborate, and have fun.

The program is designed to help young performers feel safe, supported, and challenged in a way that builds confidence and encourages creative growth.

Why The Singer’s Theatre

The Singer’s Theatre is an inclusive training ground for young artists, rooted in vocal excellence, creativity, mentorship, and meaningful performance opportunities.

The Junior Intensive gives young performers a welcoming first step — or next step — into musical theatre, while helping them discover their voice, confidence, and creativity.
