A solid technical foundation is the key to successful singing. The Studio offers voice lessons, workshops and master classes for singers of all levels of experience.

Music Theatre Conservatory - classes in Music Theatre Performance

The Conservatory provides music theatre training for students from elementary through high school, as well as professional development for performers in the industry.

Students will hone practical performance skills needed to prepare for success in musical theatre, or to  build on professional skills already established in the performance world.

Coaches and teachers are names on stage and screen, and/or with extensive professional teaching experience.

Acting Performance Classes

  • Junior Acting: Scene Study, Monologues and Ensemble Work
    • Mondays, 7:00-8:00 / Thursdays, 6:00-7:00
    • Instructor: Gary Kirkham
    • No experience necessary to register
  • Senior Acting: Scene Study, Monologues, Screen Acting and Industry Advice
    • Mondays, 5:30-7:00
    • Instructors: Gary Kirkham, Jake Simons (The Acting Center)
    • Acceptance based on resume submission

  • Voice: Technique, Repertoire and Master Classes
    • 2 hours/wk
    • Instructors: Amanda Brunk, M.J. Johnson
    • Optional extra performance opportunities
  • Acting: Scene Study, Monologues, Screen Acting and Industry Advice
    • 1.5 hours/wk
    • Instructors: Gary Kirkham, Jake Simons (The Acting Center)
  • Production: Practical Application On and Off Stage in 3 Productions
    • 3 hours/wk (in non-production weeks)
    • On stage in a self-produced musical (May)
    • Back stage in Junior Intensive (July)
    • On stage in Senior Intensive (August)
  • Dance: Tap, Ballet and Hip Hop classes
    • 3 hours/wk
    • Instructor: Everett Smith (Bringing Tap Back)
    • Optional extra performance opportunities 

*All Conservatory classes are open to successful applicants by audition only.  Some classes may be taken alone, without registering in all disciplines.  The Certificate will be awarded at the completion of all disciplines.
