Through regular weekly Voice lessons, The Singer's Theatre Studio provides resources for singers looking to expand their knowledge and abilities, by providing skills designed to round out the vocal artist.

Lesson times available for the 2010-2011! All our studio voice teachers are members of NATS or SNATS, and are committed to open dialogue with other students and teachers of singing. Studio voice students are all eligible for free Master Class participation (see below for dates) and enjoy a discounted rate for our programs.

Private Voice Instruction - Tier 1

Lesson rates: $45/hour. Payment in full to be made at the beginning of every Studio Session.

A trained and knowledgeable voice teacher can help you manage your singing in a healthy and successful way! The Singer's Theatre values the use of good vocal techniques for classical and musical theatre styles, and maintains its high standards of singing instruction with the Studio Teachers in Tier 1. Private Voice Instruction - Tier 2

Lesson rates: $55/hour. Payment in full to be made at the beginning of every Studio session

For the singer who is serious about their craft and wants a more advanced level of training, Tier 2 will offer vocal instruction with a qualified teacher educated at the Masters level or equivalent.

Private Voice Instruction/Vocal Management - Tier 3

Lesson rates: $65/hour, by appointment only. Call or email to make an appointment

For the singer who is serious about their craft, or who is looking for help with managing a particular vocal difficulty, Tier 3 will offer advanced vocal instruction as well as the tools to maintaing problem-free vocal hygiene.

A master class is a fun and important way to hone your craft as a singer. In a master class, singers come together in a group lesson to listen to and sing for each other, and to be coached by a voice teacher in a public forum. This has many possibilities for growth. It not only creates valuable performance experience and a chance to polish repertoire (with an accompanist) that you may be working on for an audition or performance, but it allows you to see what other singers are working on as well, and how they are negotiating their vocal difficulties.

The Singer's Theatre master class series will feature company and guest voice teachers on a regular basis, and holds spots for six to ten singers per class. Currently enrolled voice students may attend and/or sing for free. Non-studio singers are welcome to sing for a fee of $10.
Those interested in a master class should consider the following:

• Singers must prepare a song to sing for the class, depending on the particular musical theme
• Auditors and singers from outside the studio are welcome, for a fee of $10.00
• Singers and auditors should contact us in advance to register

Musical Theatre Dance Class

Learn musical theatre choreography in a fun and supportive setting! Weekly routines are designed to help singers and actors hone their audition dance skills, as well as basic dance techique.
